Location: Columbia, MD (sorry, no relocations).
This is a ground floor, part-time position in an exciting high-technology company.
SUMMARY
To provide skilled work in the assembly, repair, operation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art head mounted display systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:
- Performs the final assembly and test of head mounted display systems, requiring fine motor skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Performs final color and alignment calibration of head mounted display systems, requiring basic computer skills to use programs that have already been prepared for this purpose.
- Repairs and maintains such systems, requiring basic trouble-shooting skills, and moderate soldering ability. Soldering certification with emphasis in removal and replacement a definite plus.
- Makes recommendations to process improvements if incumbent determines more efficient service could be provided. Maintains certain job worksheets detailing operations performed, parts utilized, and serial number tracking. May collect data for reports.
- Maintains shop and work order records and submits required reports.
- Must have car and driver's license.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must have strong work habits: reliable, good attitude, clean, willing to take on new challenges and tasks.
