What is an upgradeable HMD? |
An upgradeable HMD is a new and exciting concept in head-mounted displays. In a nutshell, it offers you peace of mind that the performance of your HMD can grow together with your needs, and that you will no longer find yourself at a "technology dead end". Sensics offers dozens of different HMD configurations, all with panoramic field of view, to meet a very wide range of performance and budget requirements. When you need an even wider field of view with even higher resolution, simply upgrade your HMD to another configuration. |

Why is upgradeability important? |
Upgradeability is important because your technical needs and budgetary abilities might change over time. For instance, perhaps you initially buy an HMD with 100 degrees field of view, but later discover that the actual user of the VR application needs 150 degrees. With Sensics, you can just upgrade your HMD from 100 to 150 degrees: same software; same or similar cables and electronics; same look-and-feel; just higher performance. |

How does the upgrade process work? |
It's simple. You first work with the Sensics experts to quickly determine which components - HMD, cables, electronics, etc. - need the upgrade. You then send those components to Sensics and within a few days, you will receive your system back after it has been upgraded, re-calibrated and cleaned. |

How much does an upgrade cost? |
The cost of the upgrade is a little more than the difference between the original unit and the upgraded configuration. With Sensics, your HMD investment is protected, substantially reducing the chances that you will find yourself with an HMD that no longer fits your needs. |

How is Sensics able to offer this upgrade? |
Sensics uses a unique and patented technology to achieve its panoramic field of view HMDs, essentially combining multiple micro-displays into a high-resolution, panoramic image with no noticeable seams. Think of it as a personal "wall of TVs" but without borders between them. When you send your unit for an upgrade, we add extra displays and optics, thus achieving wider, taller field of view as required, as well as higher resolution. |
